MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS:
After some very careful deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 MSRA Back to the 50’s Weekend. The MSRA Board of Directors believe this is the responsible action to take in an effort to keep everyone safe during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The health and safety of our participants, volunteers, sponsors, spectators, staff and community remains our top priority. Also, because of the social distancing limitations put in place by the CDC and the State of Minnesota our volunteer committees have been unable to get together to continue working on this year’s event putting us behind in the planning and preparation process. We know this news is very disappointing, and all of us feel the same, but we know that this decision is for the best. By making the decision to announce the event cancellation now, we hope that you are able to cancel or change your travel plans with minimal impact.

We are extremely grateful for all of our supporters during this unprecedented and challenging time so we ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate these new waters. Taking into account all of the planning and preparation that is required for our event, unfortunately, postponement is not a viable option.

Below is an outline of how we are going to move forward and begin the planning for 2021:
Participants: For those of you that paid and preregistered a vehicle(s) this year, your registration payment will be applied to next year’s Back to the 50’s Weekend to be held on June 18-20, 2021. In January you will be mailed a 2021 confirmation letter with your same registration number from 2020. If you are entering an additional vehicle you will need to fill out a 2021 registration form (which will be available February 1st on the website and in the LineChaser) and you will receive a new confirmation letter for the additional registration.
If you would like a refund, you will need to send a letter requesting the refund along with your original (not a copy) 2020 registration confirmation letter and a self-addressed stamped envelope to: MSRA Back to the 50’s 2020 Refund, PO Box 22, Pine City, MN 55063-0022. You will have until July 1, 2020 to request a refund, it will take 6 – 8 weeks for the refunds to be processed. Once the refund checks are processed, they will be all mailed out at the same time.
We will be sending out a postcard mid-May to all registered participants with this same information.
Commercial Vendors, Ladies Showcase Vendors, Craft Fair Vendors & Swap Meet Vendors: All vendors that paid for their spaces and their checks were deposited will receive a 100% refund. If your check was not deposited, we will VOID your check and send it back to you. Because of the number of refunds, it will take 6 – 8 weeks for the refunds to be processed. Once the refund checks are processed, they will be all mailed out at the same time.

We hope you are able to make plans to attend MSRA’s Back to the 50’s Weekend next year on June 18-20, 2021!

MESSAGE FROM THE MSRA PRESIDENT

Due to these previously unforeseen conditions, the MSRA Board now formally announces the cancellation of our 2020 MSRA “Back to the 50’s Weekend”.

To registered participants, please know that your 2020 registration will remain valid for our planned 2021 event. New 2021 confirmation letters will be sent out at the time registration opens for that event to those who have received them for the 2020 event. Sponsors and vendors will be contacted directly by their MSRA Board Liaison with further information as it relates to their status.

We deeply regret having to inform you of this decision; however, we look forward to bringing the MSRA “Back to the 50’s Weekend” to you on our regular weekend in 2021 with the same quality and excitement that everyone has come to expect.
